Came the crest of Jōl, and young Oddvar was filled with good feeling by what Gautr had left under the Noble Fir: an Iron Man Repulsor Power Figure!
And with his grand new toy, Oddvar spent countless hours of childlike enjoyment. (For indeed Oddvar was still a child.)
This was until Oddvar's older brother Einar unveiled the truth: that Gautr's conjuring toys from air and delivering them on his flying horse to deserving children was but a tall tale.
This unwelcome news greatly consterned Oddvar, and thus he hastened to ask their father whether it was true.
"True it is, my son," the father tenderly replied (subterraneanly vexed by Einar's big mouth). Oddvar bowed his head in disappointment, then sullenly exited.
Soon, though, Oddvar retreated to his Iron Man Repulsor (the alternative being to see to his chores). And Lo! The toy still had the same glowing repulsors! It still had the same multi-mode, motion-activated sound effects! It still had the same repulsor blasts and twin missile launcher and Mark III body-armor enhancements!
And Oddvar realized that even after the myth of the toy's magikal arrival was gone, the toy retained the same play value.
